A little about myself
I am born and raised in the Florida Keys, and have always felt a deep connection to the community and a strong calling to serve. From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. That journey began in high school as a Sheriff’s Explorer, and in 2020, I was officially hired by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher, Public Information Officer (PIO), and reserve volunteering my time outside of dispatch to give back to the community. In 2022, I joined the Highway Patrol to further serve my community as a State Trooper, proudly continuing my commitment to protecting the people and places that shaped me.
How Southernmost LEO's was created...
In April 2021, I designed a unique, buoy-shaped challenge coin to represent the unity among law enforcement agencies throughout the Keys. Being that the keys is such a small tight knit community, all the law enforcement agencies work together closely to strive on making it the safest place to live, work, and play. The buoy coin quickly gained popularity and became a symbol of our shared dedication to serving our island community. That same year in June, I launched the Instagram page @SouthernmostLEOs, a space to celebrate and honor the work of law enforcement in the southernmost part of the U.S.
Through this platform, I’ve hosted giveaways, supported fundraisers, helped raise money for law enforcement families in need, and used it as a community outreach to show that behind the badge we are humans too.
What started as a single coin design turned into something much bigger. Agencies from across the country began reaching out for custom challenge coins, patches, pins, and belt buckles. While I proudly serve full time as a State Trooper, I continue to design and create these items as a hobby on the side on my free time.
